Westminster, California was incorporated in 1957 and is bordered by Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and Garden Grove.  Beginning in the 1970s, a large Vietnamese refugees population settled in Westminster in what is now known as Little Saigon.  Today, Westminster is made up of a largely Vietnamese population and Little Saigon is considered as somewhat of a “capital” of overseas Vietnamese.  Westminster contains a Vietnam War memorial dedicated to the men and women who lost their lives during the Vietnam War.  It is located across from the Westminster Civic Center, the location of the Westminster Police Department and the West Justice Center.   Although a small town, Westminster has produced a few professional athletes, including former major league baseball player Ryan Klesko and former NBA player for the Utah Jazz Mark Eaton.
