Our criminal defense and immigration attorneys are located in Orange, a short drive on the CA-57 away from Placentia. Placentia, California is located in Northern Orange County and has a population of a little over 50,000 people, according to the 2010 census. The city of Placentia began to become settled in 1865, when Daniel Kraemer purchased 3900 acres in what is now Placentia. Placentia did not become a bigger town until 1910, when the Santa Fe Railroad Company re-routed its track through Placentia. A station was later built and it helped the booming citrus industry. Placentia became an incorporated city in 1926.
Placentia derives its name from a Latin term which means “pleasant place to live” and was suggested by one of its early settlers, Sarah Jane McFadden, who, along with her husband were one of the early “pioneers” of Placentia. Today, Placentia is known as a quiet community with strong public safety. Its downtown area, the Placita-Santa Fe district, is home to some of Orange County’s best Mexican food restaurants. |
